Pottery Instructor (Casual / Contractor)

We’re looking for a warm, reliable and creative pottery instructor to join our growing studio team in South Sydney. This role would suit a university student, emerging ceramic artist, or experienced potter looking for flexible casual work in a creative environment.

About the Role

You’ll be teaching beginner-friendly pottery classes with a focus on wheel throwing, helping create a welcoming and engaging experience for students of all ages and skill levels.

Classes may include:

  • Beginner wheel throwing
  • Hand building
  • Kids workshops and school holiday programs
  • Private events and casual studio support

Availability Requirements

Applicants must be available to work weekends and during school holiday periods.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous wheel throwing experience
  • Confident working with beginners
  • Friendly, reliable and professional attitude
  • Comfortable working with children and groups
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ABN 

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Previous teaching or facilitation experience
  • Experience with trimming and glazing
  • Confidence speaking in front of groups
  • Social media/content creation skills
