Pottery Instructor (Casual / Contractor)
We’re looking for a warm, reliable and creative pottery instructor to join our growing studio team in South Sydney. This role would suit a university student, emerging ceramic artist, or experienced potter looking for flexible casual work in a creative environment.
About the Role
You’ll be teaching beginner-friendly pottery classes with a focus on wheel throwing, helping create a welcoming and engaging experience for students of all ages and skill levels.
Classes may include:
- Beginner wheel throwing
- Hand building
- Kids workshops and school holiday programs
- Private events and casual studio support
Availability Requirements
Applicants must be available to work weekends and during school holiday periods.
Essential Requirements
- Previous wheel throwing experience
- Confident working with beginners
- Friendly, reliable and professional attitude
- Comfortable working with children and groups
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ABN
Bonus Points If You Have
- Previous teaching or facilitation experience
- Experience with trimming and glazing
- Confidence speaking in front of groups
- Social media/content creation skills
