Glaze Testing & Development Day


Experiment, discover, and help shape our studio glaze palette


Calling all Part Time Ceramics studio members – it’s time to roll up your sleeves and dive into the colourful world of glaze testing! This is your chance to experiment with new glaze recipes by finding one you'd like to test out on glazy.com and testing it!


Steps to participate:




  1. Enrol in the workshop via the Book Now button (no charge)




  2. Submit your chosen recipe via email to Shiv for pre-approval




  3. Rock up! Bring your bisque test tiles or small pieces and get ready to experiment




How to find glaze recipes on Glazy.com:




  1. Visit glazy.org.




  2. Use the search bar to type in a keyword (e.g. “celadon,” “matte white,” or “pink”).




  3. On the left-hand side, filter by Firing → select Mid Fire (Cone 6).




  4. Browse the results, and click on a glaze to see its recipe, images, and notes.




  5. Choose a recipe you’d like to test – bonus points if it’s something we haven’t tried before!



  6. No recipes with tix oxide please!
